Brenda's Brand ❀
Brenda’s Brand was created with the concept of developing a personal identification package for someone in need, which, in this case, was Brenda Renier. Research about Brenda was provided from a colleague, including a design brief, transcripts of interviews with Brenda and two of her friends, a materials board, and photos of Brenda, her surrounding environments, and her defining interests. This research displayed that Brenda is a friendly and family-oriented person, and she loves flowers, crafting, and traveling. It also showed that she likes sharing her experiences and passions on her socials; however, her followers can see them as boasting rather than only capturing her memories.
The challenge identified for the brand was to help Brenda showcase her outgoing, crafty side to others in a place that welcomes it and where she can connect with others who have similar interests. To accomplish this, a package of eight deliverables were created for Brenda. These included a Facebook page dedicated to sharing her travels and a community craft blog where she can connect with others who also like to craft. A personalized vehicle, business card, doormat, craft bag, and stickers were also made to help brand her space and provide her with items that show off her unique identity. Finally, a memory journal was designed for Brenda for her to insert photos and write about her experiences.
The mark for Brenda was designed using her initials and filled with floral illustrations to pull in her interests while the font used in her logotype and deliverables display her friendly personality. The colors chosen also help represent Brenda as welcoming.
